Let's start at the beginning: why did I become the first member of team.it's specialized consultancy team?
What led me to work in a technology consultancy services company with no market feedback, no known opinion from any colleague, no known history… A leap of faith? No, my friends: none of that, or anything like that.
In our professional life, and over time, we accumulate knowledge and experience, not only at a professional level but in all other fields of life. The natural evolution of the human being, the actions and paths we choose to take is what brings us to what we are today.
So why did I choose Team?
First of all, I can say that it was Flávio Massano, our CEO. When you choose something in life, you have to keep in mind that it is this decision that will accompany you in your daily life, and when it comes to work, the philosophy is the same. The human factor, ideology and values that are part of the company's mindset must be aligned with yours. From the beginning, Flávio told me the company's vision and strategy and asked me to believe in this differentiating project.
I'm not saying, however, that other companies have worse strategies or values – especially because everyone looks for the place where they feel good. In my case, I clearly identified with the vision of team.it. The balance between professional and family life and the other advantages of remote first are something I value (although I have never been short of invitations to stop by the office whenever I want ). Going to the office takes a lot of time, especially for those who don't live close by and have to spend an hour traveling. There are, however, those who do not mind doing so…
Everything requires choices, and these have to be ours. This brings me to the beginner's mind: another of the values I identify with. It is important to realize that we all have space to learn from others. I am aware that I am not the best and I will never be, but I see this as a positive thing, as it gives me room to progress.
Finally, it is interesting to talk about community involvement and the decentralization that team.it promotes. There are strong divergences of reality within our country. We are often forced to exchange the quality of life for a salary at the end of the month, given the inequality of opportunities between the interior and the coast. Fortunately, in this area we are often privileged to be able to work from anywhere in the world. And if the company we are in gives you that opportunity, why not go back to your origins?
I feel that team.it also plays an active role in solving this problem. Brings talent back “home”. It takes people to the places where they are most needed, especially in the interior of our country, which not only suffers from a lack of qualified personnel but also faces the problem of desertification, which is clearly evident to anyone who knows the past and present reality of these areas. Bringing some dynamism and equal opportunities to the interior was an important point in deciding to join this project. We may not solve the problem, but we are present, we are not waiting.
This is a real testimonial with no publicity or any benefit to me. I speak only of my experience and the values I found here. Like me, there will be those who identify and there will be those who disagree. It wouldn't be funny if we all rowed on the same side because you already know what would happen, right? We wouldn't stop going around, and going around isn't really my style. Moving forward requires diversification, differences of opinion and growing with them all; and this boat I feel is moving along at a good pace.
For my part, I'm fine at the moment. team.it is following exactly what it set out to do and with which I identified from the first conversation. A sign of this has been the growth we have achieved. In such a competitive area, we know that there is no lack of options for change and with the retention of talent that we have managed to maintain, it is evident that what is being done is being done well.
And that's it, I don't stretch anymore. I leave here my opinion – already quite extensive – about my point of view and how I think things should be. And that's why I identified with my company and became the first member of team.it's technology consultancy team.
